Le Cabinet des Fées
Leprince de Beaumont
The excerpt is not from the beginning of 'Le Cabinet des Fées' by Leprince de Beaumont, but rather from a preface to a French learning aid. It discusses the importance of learning French and explains why fairy tales (including works by Perrault and Madame de Beaumont) are suitable for beginners. The text highlights the educational value of these stories for language learners.
